We are campaigning for a comprehensive revision of the legislation regarding abortion in the Isle of Man.

For a country which has been in the vanguard of progressive laws which include being the first to give women the vote, first to give 16 year olds the vote, and more recently equality for civil partnerships and marriage, we find it incomprehensible that our abortion legislation is almost fifty years behind that applicable in England, Wales and Scotland.

The Isle of Man is proud of its standing as a reputable jurisdiction, and must not let its antiquated abortion legislation spoil that valuable reputation.
