Seeing thousands of signatures on the petition, I don't see how the County Council will approve the rezoning at Hilton Head National. I know that many of you are new to this controversy but the very fact that you have gotten engaged is possibly the beginning of a new approach to growth in all of Beaufort County. This is but one issue facing us so I plead that you stay engaged in our future here. As for tomorrow's meeting of the County Council (6pm at the Bluffton Library) where the final vote will be taken, please don't let rain stop you from coming. Looking at the weather, rain is possible but regardless, only a massive turnout will make it crystal clear to Council members that responsible development, clean waters and protection of our wonderful lifestyle should be front and center in every decision they make now and in the future. So be there, rain or shine!
