URGENT:

     The small country of Armenia could be attacked any day now as the oil rich Azerbaijan is lining up troops along their border, and Starlink will allow the country to share their situation when the fighting begins! They already have launched an attack and forced the surrender of the even smaller country of Artsakh after completely blocking and starving the 120,000 Armenian population of the country for over 9 months.

What is the current situation?

     Already hundreds of people have died, many being civilians and children. There have been bombings on the cities and civilians into Artsakh by Azerbaijan. As Azerbaijan takes control of Artsakh city by city, less is known of what is the situation of the Armenians who couldn't escape as they are virtually silenced online. If Artsakh had Starlink, citizens could have bought the antennas to use it and would've been able to inform the outside world of their situation, as Azerbaijan most certainly won't. As Azerbaijan finishes up with Artsakh, it has its eyes set on Armenia, which it has often referred to as Western Azerbaijan in the past.

     So if Azerbaijan begins to enter Armenia, which it already has in the past and hasn't left, the internet and power grid would be the first thing attacked to create confusion and disunify the country, and Starlink could help prevent that! Cities can have the Starlink antennas to connect to the internet if Elon allows the country to have the connection!

Why should I care?

     The Armenians have lived on these lands for thousands of years, and that land throughout the many long centuries has slowly but surely shrunk. The little land the Armenians have today has a very long and cherished history with thousands of ancient historical monuments, locations, and sites. And the more Azerbaijan takes from Armenia, those sites, such as churches and Christian sculptures, 'disappear' from the very land they were built upon centuries ago. And, Azerbaijan is heavily backed and connected to Turkey, which, many of you know, I hope, committed the Armenian Genocide in 1915, and still has yet to recognize it. There is even a literal AMUSEMENT PARK of 'trophies' of war such as Armenian tanks, guns, and the actual helmets of the fallen Armenian soldiers lining the walls, all these contains cartoony and stereotypical sculptures of Armenians dead in the tanks and cars. That 'park' is in the Azerbaijan capital, Baku, and is a common field trip destination for school kids. More directly, there are recordings circulating online of Azeri soldiers killing, torturing, and mutilating Armenian soldiers and civilians including women.

     Firstly, you could sign this petition here, but after that you could inform yourself more on the situation and help spread the word! To donate directly to Artsakh (as the donations to this petition will just go to the change.org website for advertising of this petition) you could donate to Hayk For Our Heroes. Other than that, you could tweet on Twitter directly to Elon Musk to help the message reach him, as that is the end goal. You could also retweet and share posts from people with large followings already talking about the situation, first and foremost of these is Serj Tankian, who is vocal on Twitter and Instagram both. You can find many people spreading the word if you look on these 2 platforms, though sadly it doesn't reach too far.
