Almost year back when i noticed live pigeons trap in Stadium-China Town station. After, me along those who signed the petition has done everything we could to have those traps removed. We involved Spca, Spca Cruelty department, numerous times we contacted TransLink and Atlas Pest Control, we took pictures to proof pigeons died in cage, we tried sharing petitions with 1000s, until it reached to the news reporters, and they published the story. With all my heart i thank you all for everything you did to put the end to this cruel method of trapping and killing pigeons, and my special thank to Jane Skrypnek from black press media news who published the story. However i will not declare a full victory until they remove the remaining hidden traps which are still visible on Commercial Drive-Broadway station. They removed trap from Stadium, and installed OvoControl Birth control seeds machine right below the tracks, this happened starting June 2nd 2022, however they kept the cardboard, i fail to understand what are they trying to do. If concern were pigeons sitting on tracks, this will make it worst. There is no pigeon and they don’t sit by tracks, or close to tracks, so why intentionally attract them to that area? Is the plan to attract them and set up traps again later? Meanwhile we will continue sharing and signing the petition, until it ends completely
