Major changes to the F3 Parramatta River Ferry service are being planned which will have a negative impact on many commuters.

Proposed changes include:

1. Direct services to Circular Quay will be eliminated.
   
2. All services will terminate at Barangaroo.
3. If you want to go to Circular Quay, McMahons Point or Milsons Point, you will be forced to change ferries at Balmain East.

We estimate increased travel times of up to 50%. Our services are already well behind the well-resourced inner harbour routes.

Given that yearly Opal trips on this route were around 2,670,000 in 2019, with a large proportion commencing or terminating at Circular Quay, it is not acceptable that we have only been provided with a very short time to comment by the government and the provider, Transdev.
