TRANCE Intersectional QTPOC Protections #StopProject2025
The Issue
My story begins from a place of deep-seated commitment and being directly impacted by intersectional systems and barriers of oppression. www.trancebyellehalo.com
I am a grassroots QTPOC health equity advocate, an artist, a creative, and a catalyst in passing a local trans bathroom protection ordinance. Now more than ever, we must stand together to demand more for our communities - Black, brown, trans, non-binary, and all the diverse identities of our QTPOC circle. We wholeheartedly reject the removal of Diversity Equity and Inclusion practices and the erasure of our significant historical contributions - our contributions, our history, matter. Art Story Telling and building a base of power is how we have always survived and how we will survive now. We reject attacks on DEI, CRT Critical Race Theory, and book bans.
The fact is that diversity, equity, and inclusion practices contribute significantly to societal growth and cohesion. They provide a foundation for equality and prosperity. Inclusive policies and protections correlate to lower rates of poverty and higher rates of education and income among marginalized groups, thus amplifying the importance of these policies
Our true history is belittled when art and monuments that tell our story are removed. We demand their preservation.
We oppose #project2025, a campaign that harms our communities. Attacks on Medicare/ Medicaid , SNAP and Social Security must also be resisted, as these are essential safety nets for vulnerable populations. We reject the reduction of funding for victims services, HIV Prevention Harm Reduction, and research for Vulnerable populations.
In the wake of the 6th murder of a black trans femme in Milwaukee WI in 4 years and the epidemic of violence against our community we propose a Transgender / GNC /QTPOC local legislation or national / FEDERAL TRANSGENDER HATE CRIME BILL to bolster our legal safeguards. We call into question Transgender cold case murders, and ask that in those cases investigations be launched into the motives of investigators and prosecutors regarding said cases. This bill would become a possibility model and address the epidemic of anti trans violence. We REJECT ANTI TRANS LEGISLATION of all kinds and actively oppose legislative attacks on trans /gnc youth. We reject the Trans Military Ban. We reject all attacks on Gender Affirming Care and Reproductive Justice.
We reject ANY AND ALL Unjust or Illegal Executive orders and for all Elected/ Government officials found to have committed crimes by blocking federal funding or CRIMES BREACHING OUR NATIONAL SECURITY PROTOCOL AND PROCEDURES BY SHARING NATIONAL SECURITY PLANS VIA SIGNAL. Or other fraudulent abuses of power by the Congressional Non Appointed Agency DOGE. We reject and demand Accountability from Elon Musk about data breaches at The US Treasury Department and Social Security. We reject the abrupt potentially unconstitutional firings of US officials. We demand investigations into any senior or federal officials found to have committed crimes in the first 100 days of the new 2025 administration. We demand that an US officials found to have committed crimes to be removed or asked to resign from their posts.
In response to The Implication that seditionists and domestic terrorists convicted of crimes related to Jan 6th should receive “Reparations”
We DEMAND THAT THE WHOLE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SUPPORT HR40 being led by Rep. Ayana Presley Ensuring that THE GOVERNMENT must invest in research and action on REPARATIONS FINALLY FOR THE BLACK AND INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES DUE TO COLONIZATION AND THE Mid Atlantic Slave Trade. This is vital to our communities especially in light of attacks on the public safety net.
We also reject moves to dismantle the Department of Education, an institution that should be working to provide equitable education opportunities PROTECTIONS FOR CHILDREN, and ensuring pathways to economic equity for our communities. We demand that grossly inflated municipal policing budgets be restricted from further militarizing our communities, we demand that policing budgets allocate more funding for mental health professionals and violence prevention. We demand funds be reallocated to participatory budgeting for our communities
It's crucial to understand that American Democracy, as a symbol of freedom and justice, must extend its protections to QTPOC communities. Now is the time for decisive action. Join us in our mission, feel the urgency of this moment our elected officials and nonprofit infrastructure have failed to meet. Let them know, we are politically woke, we are witnessing the dismantling of the federal government, and we will not stand idle.
We call that elected officials moving counter to their Oath of Office and against the good will of the American People be impeached. We reject the unjust firings of Air Traffic Controllers, nuclear power experts and the dismantling of the US Postal Service which is essential to the livelihood and wellness of the American People. We reject the building of new prisons in our communities funded by the privatized prison industrial complex.
Civil Rights are Human Rights we demand that our civil rights and liberties be restored and enshrined into law. We demand that more seats be added to the Supreme Court. We demand that the federal minimum wage be raised to $15 per hour.
We reject the abuse of our undocumented immigrant communities, we reject plans to increase ICE detention centers in marginalized areas.
Sign this petition to create positive change, protect our communities, and guarantee access to our constitutional rights. Help us reach 500 + signatures and we will send our petition to state legislators and Rep Ayanna Pressley.
