After weeks of negotiations Trafford Council have now issued a statement with regard to the Community Asset Transfer of the centre and we now hope that this will bring some clarity with the present position and expect there to be a further update after the 16th March.

UPDATE

“The Council is working  with Trafford Leisure and a community group who are  interested in taking George H Carnall Leisure Centre forward as a community venture.  This is an agenda item at the  forthcoming  March Council Executive where the option of further investigating the potential of a community venture at George H Carnall Leisure Centre will be discussed. At present no decisions have been made.”
