We presume by now that everyone who has signed the petition is aware that Trafford council are to go ahead with the closure to make way for a basketball team. For the last 35 years hundreds of people have used the centre for the benefit of their health and fitness but our views and opinions obviously count for nothing with this Tory council which is why there was never any consultation over the proposed closure. During meetings and discussions with the council they have been arrogant and have shown contempt for anybody opposing the closure and how anybody could approve of a basketball team using the centre at the expense of the communities well-being is beyond us. God forbid this Conservative council stay in power much longer otherwise what will they destroy next ?
