The Issue

Some of us have life savings, retirement funds and investment portfolios with Trading 212, because we believed it was a reliable stock broker. I myself hold my entire portfolio with Trading 212. Sadly, it seems that they haven't been living up to their name recently.

During a raging bull run of January 2021, where companies like AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC) and GameStop (NYSE:GME) have gone up +100%-300%, a significant downtime of hours in total is unjustifiable, and it has caused many of us to lose thousands if not hundreds of thousands in value because of Trading 212's negligence and not investing enough in their infrastructure which should be as reliable as its competitors at the very least.

Taking AMC as an example, it has soared 300% during pre-market trading, opening at 20.30 after the previous close of 4.94. Trading 212 has been unresponsive for almost an hour now, and the price is down to 14.90, a loss of 100% of the affected investors' initial investment value.

These downtimes aren't a one-off occurrence, but have been happening for days now, with servers shutting down at the start of the trading day, which is known for massive swings in prices, and sometimes even during the day, as orders failed to go through or the app just stopped working.

Because of the massive losses incurred by T212, we are asking for compensation of losses that T212 is entirely responsible for (as far as we know). If this downtime results in even more loss and/or compensation is not issued, we will seek justice by other legal means if possible.

If any of you have suffered financial losses due to the outages or restrictions, please send an email to trading212petition@gmail.com with screenshots if possible, along with a summary of the trades you missed out on + an estimate of profits you missed out on due to the restrictions. Every single bit of information will help build a strong case and result in a difference.
