The Issue
This petition is meant to replace the mascot at Bowsher High in Toledo, Ohio.
The mascot is currently a rebel which is a symbol of the confederacy and the oppression of Black Americans. This symbol is currently being removed across the country out of respect for Black Americans. Signing this petition means you agree that Bowsher High needs to replace the mascot immediately.
We ask that the rebel mascot be replaced with whatever the community decides.
We will have an alumni/current student design the new logo for the school.
