Hello everyone,

I haven't had a chance to go and sit at this intersection and really study what the updates are since the battery was changed in the traffic box, but when I'm driving through there, I can tell something is different.   It seems that the light on the Legg Road side turns green now before the light turns green on Dana Hill and it seems that the light turns red on the Legg Road side and the Dana Hill side remains green a little while longer to allow the remaining cars to get through before everyone turns red.  So that's better than what it was prior to my inquiry about why this light was too short.  I'm not sure if this is the 'fix' for this intersection overall, but it's better.  Even others have said they noticed a change in the timing.  So it's still going to be an agenda item on the Town Meeting warrant in May to get money alotted to do a traffic study to see what else can be changed and improved here.    You still can not go right down to the edge of the road if you want to trip the loops in the road to make the light change for you.  You have to stay back and roll your wheels a little at a time to let the loops trip so they know a car is there.

If you have noticed changes and improvements, make a post about it in the Sterling Community Page on Facebook.  Thanks for your support in the effort to make changes to improve the intersection.  Laura
