I gave a copy of the thread in the community page to the DPW and to the DOT today.  I also sent an email on the DOT website asking them to track down Joe Frawley today.  I got this response, so let's see if they do anything about this.

Dear Ms. Ricci,

The MassDOT Highway District Three office is responding to your message to the District Traffic Operation Engineer, Joe Frawley. Joe did receive your message and has talked with the Town of Sterling DPW, and the District will work cooperatively with the Town to make timing adjustments to the intersection.  We hope to have more information about implementation to pass along next week.
