SAY NO TO BIKE LANES ON CLEARMEADOW

SAY NO TO BIKE LANES ON CLEARMEADOW
The Issue
This is a petition to stop the town from putting bike lanes on our street. We were never consulted and are not in favour of this proposal. Our concerns are:
* Eliminates any street parking (your visitors will need to park blocks away)
* Reduces our property value
* Will overwhelm adjacent streets with street parking
* Poor use of our tax dollars
(Newmarket is looking to increase property taxes by 2.99% during a pandemic)
We need as many residents affected to sign by December 7 (before budget meeting)
The councillor requires Name, address and contact info to validate this petition. I will compile this to submit . Email: cbegg@hotmail.com as this site does not collect that data.
Thank you neighbours!
Feel free to email our councillor of Ward 6 Kelly Broome at kbroome@newmarket.ca
Note: We are not against cyclists or bike lanes. However, bike lanes do not need to be on a residential street that affects the people living on this street!
