End Racism in our High Schools

End Racism in our High Schools
The Issue
It has been FIVE days since a Facebook post revealing a culture of racism and plagiarism that harbors in South High, Torrance, CA. And still, neither the school nor the school district gave any response to show support to not just the Black Lives Matter cause, but also the voiceless victims that were harassed behind their backs shown here:

As a parent and a part of this community, the cover-up of this incident and the apparent negligence to our children are not how our school system should be ran. I am sure there are more victims out there, and have put together a couple demands for South High and the TUSD to implement immediately.
- Demand Deanna Diederich and the South High PTA to discuss solutions for this incident at their last meeting on Monday, June 8th (agenda)
- Demand South High to finally release a press release on this matter, acknowledging BLM, denouncing racism, and attaining justice for the victims
- Hold teachers accountable for academic plagiarism among Advanced Placement (AP) courses
- Address and allocate solutions to district resources among disadvantaged, underserved populations in Torrance, CA
- Institute education and programs addressing privilege, racism, plagiarism, and sexual harassment against any POCs, genders, and sexual orientations
- Be in solidarity with the black community of Torrance, CA
As leaders in our community, South High and TUSD should have led by example, but are now complicit in promoting a culture of racism, plagiarism, and sexual harassment that cannot be allowed in our society today. If any of you have additional demands, please comment below or let me know on how we can improve our community together during these horrific times.
