The No IB Fees Campaign is on fire this week!

Who we are

We're a group of teachers, parents, students, and community members opposed to the privatization of the IB program at the TDSB. We are determined to reverse the cut to IB but not at the expense of other programs. We want Parkdale Collegiate to say OPEN. Join us! Email noibfees@gmail.com.

What we've already done

- deputed at the TDSB's Finance Budget and Enrolment committee

- generated press coverage through a press release (https://noibfees.wixsite.com/noibfees/blank-page

- engaged our Trustee Robin Pilkey at various meetings

- letter-writing to politicians and trustees

- radio interviews

- Change.org petition

- student week of action at PCI (this week!)

Metro Morning interviewed TDSB Chair Robin Pilkey this morning (Dec. 3) and IGNORED our press release that pointed out that the majority of IB students are NOT affluent kids, IB is NOT an elite or inaccessible program (prior to the fees being imposed!), and the TDSB's plan to give low-income IB students "bursaries" is not a plan at all. The TDSB IB cut harms racialized and working-class students. Matt Galloway accepted Pilkey's INACCURATE interpretation of the data. Please call the Metro Morning Vox Box at 416-205-5807 or email metromorning@cbc.ca to ask them to tell their audience the FACTS tomorrow morning. The Pilkey interview segment is available here: https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-39-metro-morning Review the facts here: https://noibfees.wixsite.com/noibfees/blank-page
