The Local Link bus 60/61 is ceasing in May, we don't have much time to act.  This route goes from Paignton to Torquay and covers a wide area in between it is vital for people to get around.

This route is so important. It's not just another bus that links the two towns, it has a serious role in the transport of people between Torquay and Paignton taking in Preston and Occombe Farm inbetween.

This route provides vital transport for people that would be otherwise cut off from the main bus routes, this route covers areas with a high population of elderly vulnerable people particularly in Preston.  The withdrawal of this route would mean that people would have to use the main number 12 bus which would mean a substantial walk for some. Elderly people will not be able to leave their homes as they have steep hills to contend with.  This will have a detrimental effect on people leading to isolation and loneliness.

It could also affect local area's like Preston as people use this route to do shopping at local shops.  

Please let Local Link and Torbay Council know WHY and how these changes will affect you.
