Kids got their report cards for the third quarter, the program has been changed now. It is based on effort instead of grades. My grandson has been receiving the rewards cards in the past because he has had all A,s and B,s. And in effort he always received O,s for outstanding and S,s for satisfactory. Well the new report card, he received an A in music like he has for the past 2 quarters, but for effort in music .he received an N for need for improvement. I'm a little confused about this. He already gets A, so how much more effort does he need to put in to it. Even if he is a little distractive in class, he still is putting the effort in to get an A. , I would think that would at least be satisfactory ., and it's not like it is history or math, IT IS MUSIC!!!!! Not sure if it has anything to do with me starting the petition a couple months ago, but it sure makes me wonder. Bottom line is , a little boy that always got a rewards card for getting good grades, didn't get one this time because he needs to improve his A grade. So glad Mrs Stewart improved this program.
