On August 22, 2022, Western University announced the school's return to campus mandate that forces students to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, AND received one booster shot, AND mask requirement!

Countless students have expressed concern and disgust towards the university's new mandate on their Instagram post (@westernuniversity), please read the comments.

Meanwhile, the entire nation of Canada has already lifted the mask mandate many months ago, proof of vaccination is no longer checked, and the booster shot is NOT required.

It is against the student's freedom that Western University is forcing these senseless requirements. The university has taken every students' tuition money for the semester without previously mentioning such requirements.

Solution:

• We are kindly asking Western University (University of Western Ontario) to re-consider and revoke the new mandate as soon as possible.
  1. Students should NOT be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
  2. Students should NOT be required to take a COVID-19 booster shot and submit proof.
  3. Students should NOT be required to wear masks on campus.

As our nation is moving out of the pandemic and adapting to our new lifestyle, the COVID-19 requirements should no longer be enforced. The requirements set by Western University causes extreme inconvenience to students, and breaks everyone's human right of the freedom of choice.
