This is important because we want to stop certain species of sea foods from becoming extinct and ensure that the fishing industry will still exist in 40 years. Scientists predict that unless humans act now, seafood may disappear by 2048. This affects our Australian economy ( A $2.18 billion business nationally), us the consumers with price rises, the food chain and people in developing countries that rely on fish as their main food source.
This is why we want to send a message to the Victorian government that something has to happen NOW. Please help us get the message to the government that we want victorias fisheries to be sustainable and we want fish for the future.
