This past Monday, June 5th, 2017 was Nick Johnston's last day as the morning meteorologist at WTEN. He was informed AFTER the show (so nothing would be said on LIVE TV) that “market research indicates he is not what the viewers want to see”, so his contract will not be renewed. He will move to weekends (to be phased out) until September 3rd; his final day.
Nextstar Media Group is to blame for this. They recently bought WTEN in Albany and have no idea who Nick even is. They NEVER "took a poll" amongst loyal spectators of the Capital District, and they certainly do not care about their employees OR YOU - as a viewer. They don't even reside here... Nextstar works out of Texas! Sign this petition if Nick Johnston is the ONLY weatherman you want to see during the WEEKDAY mornings on News10ABC!
