We request lenient checking, provision of marks for misprinted questions in ISC Maths 2017
The Issue
Some people say that the ISC Maths 2017 paper was surprising. But there is a difference between "surprise" and "shock". Latter is the term which I would use to describe the ISC Mathematics 2017 paper. It was tough, lengthy as well as contained suspected printing mistakes, which were never corrected during the course of the examination. Section A was tough, and even section C contained questions which were unconventional. Some even claim that a question was either wrong, or out of syllabus. That led to panic, resulting in more simpler questions being answered wrong.
So, with all due respect, we request the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, to be lenient on the checking of the paper, and also allot full marks for the questions which are found wrong or misprinted, or out of syllabus. This is because the Mathematics marks will affect the futures of thousands of students from several streams.
If all other methods fail, a crude alternative can be that a retest is conducted, with questions which are CORRECT, STANDARD and worthy of being in a Board examination.
