What an amazing day! As planned we headed to the BBC today to hand in over 270,000 signatories in support of keeping BBC3 on TV. We had fans in #savebbc3 t-shirts, a star from Crims, an MP who is pushing the fight in the House of Commons, and even a busker singing about the campaign!
We gained notable coverage in the Guardian, on BBC3's 60 Seconds News, RadioTimes.com, The Huffington Post, and we were even top story on Radio 1's Newsbeat knocking David Cameron off the top spot. Sorry, Dave! See the photographs here - http://bit.ly/1vCIMGA
After our protest outside Broadcasting House we ended up at the BBC Trust where we presented three boxes full of signatures. The Trust say they are listening and will report back in the coming months on their findings.
Their official consultation closes at midnight so if you haven't yet filled it in please do so ASAP and do it again if you want to say anything more! This is something separate to the petition many of you signed. See http://bit.ly/1C1JjEh to fill it in.
It's been a fantastic day and I want to thank everyone who supported us. You're all ace! A big thanks to John McDonnell MP for speaking out, change.org for helping us organise, and everyone who made the trip to London from far and wide.
Let's keep the faith and I'll be in touch when I hear more.
