What a 24 hours we've had with the #savebbc3 campaign! Yesterday the BBC Trust launched their 28-day consultation on the BBC3 proposals which move the channel off TV to the internet with a BBC1+1 ending up in its place. It would also see the end of some of our favourite programmes because of £30m budget cuts.
Our petition which we launched last year has now had 267,000 signatures. Now the BBC Trust are asking for your opinion, and we need as many people to say why they're against the move.
Yesterday thousands of you took to the Trust's website and gave your opinions. But the demand was so great the website CRASHED throughout the day. The BBC Trust has now had to upgrade their technology to ensure it can cope, so if you struggled yesterday please try again today.
The demand shows just how passionate we all are about BBC3, and it goes to show how the BBC have underestimated the strength of feeling. But it's going to be a big fight so we must continue to persuade more people to respond and to reject what they're proposing. You don't have to fill it all in - just the bits on BBC3.
To fill in the official consultation just head here - http://bit.ly/1sVCi9P. It takes no more than 5 minutes. You can also tweet about the consultation to others by clicking here and it'll tweet for you - http://ctt.ec/2DV8U.
Thanks again for all of your support, I'll bring you more news soon.

PS. We want to get the word out to as many people as possible. We would like to try out some Facebook advertising to encourage BBC3 fans to support the petition and the campaign. A donation of just a couple of pounds through PayPal will ensure we can reach several hundred people - http://bit.ly/1BGCUmE
