The Clarence community will lose over 10 hectares of precious green space that is there for all to use, plus 188 mature trees.
This one-sided proposal tramples all over the City Heart Plan. It ignores the results of the Council's own survey findings, showing the majority of respondents disagreed with siting an AFL Training Centre at this location.
The HPC can be located at other sites that do not require the destruction of established parklands that will require extensive earthworks, rock blasting, bulldozing of trees and huge retaining walls.
