To have a white history month to celebrate our race and ancestors

To have a white history month to celebrate our race and ancestors
The Issue
For too long, we've seen the accomplishments of white people overlooked or overshadowed. I'm proud to be white, and I believe it's crucial to share the great achievements of our ancestors with the world. This isn't just about me; it's about all the white people who have contributed significantly to society, yet are often remembered only for their association with slavery.
Every year, we celebrate Black History Month and Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, acknowledging the significant contributions these communities have made. These celebrations serve as a powerful reminder that everyone, regardless of their race or ethnicity, can and has made a meaningful impact on our world. They cultivate pride and understanding among diverse communities.
So, why not dedicate months to honor the history and achievements of white people? These celebrations would provide an opportunity to delve into the rich history, culture, and accomplishments that have been integral to our shared human story. From advancements in science and technology to contributions in arts and literature, there is much to celebrate and learn from every culture.
Many might argue that history already favors white accomplishments, but history is multifaceted, and the stories told often do not highlight the positive contributions or the magnitude of influence from ordinary white people and how they shaped multiple facets of our lives.
This proposal is not about diminishing the struggles and contributions of other races, but embracing our own heritage with pride. Recognizing and celebrating the achievements of diverse groups promotes unity and respect among all people.
Join me in calling for the establishment of a new month dedicated to white history. Sign this petition to help bring forward a resolution that reflects all the rich and diverse parts of our heritage, encouraging education and appreciation for the achievements of white individuals throughout history.
