A family friend recently got hit by a driver while riding his bike. the friend was open the right side of the road following traffic. the driver was pulling out of a NEIGHBORHOOD and hit the friend hard enough to the point he flew over the car and broke the windshield and dented the hood. he came out of it with only a broken wrist. Thank god he had his helmet on. I feel this goes to show that bike lanes AND sidewalks should be put in going down lauderdale and across gayton.
