Friends of Cleveland Park:
Our new sidewalk project has been completed. Not only did they pave the 110 feet missing in the park but also the next block up where the sidewalk was blocked by two giant poles. Getting to the pedestrian bridge just got a lot easier. The city did a fantastic job solving that problem for our neighbors in wheelchairs who were entering Jackson Hill traffic. We are happy to have facilitated this improvement for our park and neighborhood. Bike groups, pedestrian groups, we need your help here. Thanks
If you would like to volunteer to help us paint the bridge and/or cut locks off the bridge, please step forward. Email Brian@friendsofclevelandpark.net Lots of grafitti lately has the bridge an interesting color - a mix of rust and pale gray. What color should we suggest this bridge be painted? Let us know your thoughts - it will be the final paint job we hope.
The petition will be also added to Mobilize shortly. Thanks again for your support.
Thanks for helping promote this petition for a new bridge. We are up to 151 signatures. Not bad, but we need 500! This weekend the weather is going to be fantastic so you will see us at the bridge or the petition information ON the bridge.
And a special thanks to those who made donations to keep the petition going on change.org - your generosity is paying off obviously.
