Gil Kerlikowske says that "Marijuana legalization - for any purpose - is a nonstarter in the Obama administration." The fact of the matter is that the law which established his agency and created his job also directs that he lie to the American people and thwart their stated will. This cannot be, where are we, in China? Tell our leaders to put a stop to this, demand that the office of Drug Czar and the Office of National Drug Control Policy be abolished as a whole.
Let us remind them that this is our government, they must hear our voice and serve our nation, not contrive to stifle discussion and science with bad legislation.
We were promised science based government when President Obama took office, we are demanding that now.
When this legislation was written, prohibition was in it's heyday, intuitively, people thought that stopping the People from harming themselves was the correct thing to do, despite themselves. They would save all of us despite our rights and freedoms, they would force us to do as they saw fit, right and proper. We are told that the people are ahead of the politicians on this issue and that politicians are afraid to accept reform because they fear they will not win reelection or be seen in a negative light.
Please let this letter and these responses be our voice to you, we are saying it now, we want this; as a people, we have the votes and we have a majority, end the drug war and we will support you.
We, as a people, have slowly sacrificed so many of our God given rights to this tragedy that is the drug war, Mr. President, Members of the House and Senate, listen, we will say it softly so that you know we are serious, we want our freedom back. Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, China and too, too many others institutionalized lying to their people- always for "Their own good" we won't have it in America, listen, this is us saying it, we the people will not have it in America.
Abolish an agency that only exists to deny the people a chance to debate and change at need, abolish the ONDCP.
Thank you for your time.
