Sandown Panel hearing wraps up next week  16/9/24

After many days sitting hearing experts and submitters, the panel committe will have 30 days to deliver a decision about what they have heard mid October 2024.

It's pins and needles time in this local area sitting on the edge of a precipice.. waiting waiting !!!

The biggest question is some of our local  primary schools are at capacity this year and secondary schools from the Sandown site are 3-4 kms away and adding up to another 20,000 more residents where will these children be educated in the next 20-30 years if we dont save  decent sized school sites like Maralinga and Southvale !

The other worrying question -the hearing really only concentrated on the upstream effects to Mile Creek this proposal could potentially have ...not the down stream ramifications and that is a HUGE concern!
