Off Gluten

Why do I eat gluten free?
I have Celiac Disease.
But before I knew I had it, I was told by many Drs, skin professionals and others that I had this and that.
They never diagnosed me with Celiac Disease.
It took over 20 years of painful, unsightly lesions on my skin - always on my face - to break me. One day I walked into a Dr's office during an outbreak and insisted they biopsy the lesion and the surrounding skin.
The biopsy confirmed Celiac Disease.
This is what gluten does to my body, and I cannot hide it, because it's my face.
This is my "why".
What is yours?
May is Celiac Awareness month. Tell your story, wear your green ribbon, and share my petition.
Peace and gluten free love!
