For over 23 years, the highest quality versions of Thomas come from really badly put together edits with a bunch of errors. We are in 2026 now and STILL no sign of higher quality Thomas has been seen outside of the released 1983 pilot from 2025.

It's very important that we have this series in the best quality possible and fixing what came before. If there was ever a phyiscal release to come out of it here's what I would want for bonus features. Deleted scenes, nameboards, music videos, any behind the scenes footage, all English dubs including New Friends for Thomas, early S3A narration, Nick Jr/PBS versions, aspect options for both Series 7 and 6, original intros and credits and lastly a proper Micheal Brandon edit with Mike O'Donnel and Junior Campbell's score. This would be great for preservation and fans. If something doesn't happen sooner, the films could get damaged or lost. And since the show was shot on 35mm film, it can be scanned to the highest quality possible and is much better doing it manually they AI upscaling it.
