OFFICIAL ACTION HAS BEGUN TO RECOVER THE ILLEGALLY DETAINED DOGS

In recent days, the first official and public steps have been taken to recover dogs that were unlawfully taken and have been held in isolation for nearly two years.

Serious violations have been uncovered:

• no administrative decision authorizing the seizure of the dogs,
• no transfer documentation,
• refusal to release public information,
• disturbing reports about the dogs’ health, which was previously excellent and regularly monitored by veterinarians.

Formal letters have been submitted to:

•  the Voivode (provincial governor),
•  the Prosecutor’s Office,
• oversight and control bodies,
• and independent monitoring organizations.
  A formal demand has also been filed for the immediate return of the dogs.

This effort is being conducted with full respect for the law – but with unwavering determination to restore justice and prevent similar abuses from happening again.
