Thank you so much for your support this year to try to release my 77 year old dad (Grandpa) Kamal from his 5 year 7 month detention from Evin prison. We are sad that he and other prisoners have not been released, and even worse more people were detained in 2016 under similar circumstances. We did get some good news – yesterday Dad was able to see his lawyer for the first time in several months. Let's hope these small positive steps grow into real improvements – we’re still extremely worried about his health. Our daughters are fortunate that all their grandparents are still alive - and they’ll be seeing all but one of them over Christmas. Of course, this will be the 6th Christmas without Dad. We all miss Dad so much and wish he could be with us. We wish you all a wonderful Christmas break and a happy and healthy 2017, Kamran and family
