Dear Supporters, My 77 year old dad (Grandpa) Kamal has just had two good days outside Evin prison. Yesterday he was suddenly taken to an outside hospital for a full day of tests in respect of his cataracts in each eye. Today he was taken to meet a government doctor at the Legal Medical Organisation (again outside prison) to discuss the results of the tests. The government doctor has agreed that Dad needs urgent medical operations on each eye. We’ve been told the next step is for Dad to get eye x-rays (expected in the next 10-12 days) and soon after that get the eye operations themselves. This will be the best news for months if it goes ahead – and you helped make it happen with your letters and emails. It would be even better if they could do the cancer and other tests we are asking for while Dad’s in hospital. Thanks for all your help and kind messages, Kamran and family
