Dear Supporters, 77 year old Grandpa Kamal was told he would be going to hospital last weekend to get his urgent cataracts eye operation, but unfortunately the operation was cancelled by the Iranian authorities at the last minute. It has now been almost 3 months since he was diagnosed with cataracts and still he waits in Evin prison, slowly going blind. Also, Tuesday 29 November is 6 months since Grandpa Kamal’s last medical, and there is still no explanation of why he has never been given cancer tests during his 2,036 days of detention. If you want to help, please write to the Iranian Ambassador/embassy in your country asking Iran to: 1. Urgently take Grandpa Kamal to hospital for his cataracts operations and cancer tests. 2. Let Grandpa Kamal have visitors in prison – he’s had none in over 5 years. 3. Even better, free Grandpa Kamal. He’s been eligible for release each of the last 1,000 days.
