Dear 217,000 Supporters, First, some good news. The day after our last update, the Canadian Homa Hoodfar was freed by Iran. We are so happy for her and her family. Unfortunately 77yr old Grandpa Kamal is still in Evin, still waiting for his cataracts operations and cancer tests. In 2016 we have seen 5 US citizens freed, 2 Canadians and none from the UK. Very soon, on Monday 24th October, Grandpa Kamal will spend his 2,000th consecutive day in Evin prison. There are two events in London that will happen to mark this sorry milestone. If you are in London and available either day/time, please do come along. 1. Sunday 23rd October 4-6pm: Amnesty UK event On Sunday 23rd October 4-6pm, Amnesty UK will be hosting a free event at their offices near Liverpool Street, which I will be speaking at.
