Kamran and family Key points to raise in your emails/letters: • 76yr old British-European citizen Grandpa Kamal Foroughi has been held in Evin Prison for over 1,750 days, since 5 May 2011, with no explanation ever provided. • Grandpa Kamal’s family live in the UK and he gets no visitors. • Grandpa Kamal was deprived of any contact with his family for over 3 years, and now is only allowed short phone calls. • Grandpa Kamal has not seen his granddaughters for over 5 years. • His family were assured that if they stayed quiet, Grandpa Kamal would be released in May 2015, but that did not happen with no explanation provided. • Grandpa Kamal has heard many promises that he would be released “next week” or “next month”, with no positive outcome. • Grandpa Kamal has been deprived of medical care and access to his medical records. • Grandpa Kamal is suffering physically and mentally. His family are terrified that if he is not released soon, he will die in Evin Prison a lonely old man. • Please ask your government to lobby the Iranian authorities to release Grandpa Kamal to his family.
