Hello, we have reached 2,161 supporters as of this update, making great progress before the end of 2020. For those who are still hanging onto cable/satellite TV and viewing Disney Channel On Demand content through your TV provider, I have a new petition for Disney Channel On Demand to stop airing non-skippable commercials in the middle of their shows/movies and instead only air a sponsored advert at the beginning, just as it was prior to mid-2017 when they started this shaddy practice.

Here's the link for those who are interested: http://chng.it/DFnvqx25fT

As you probably already know, Disney Channel US generally only airs sponsored advertisements rather than traditional commercials, ever since 2017 they've broken that tradition on their pay TV on demand service by allowing TV providers to place their own advertisements in the middle of Disney Channel On Demand programming, most of these adverts are NOT the ones you would normally see on the actual Disney Channel in the US.

Even though we have Disney+ now, there are still people who prefer to watch certain Disney Channel content on Disney Channel On Demand (both new and old content). Regardless if they use it because they find it more convenient to access or they can't/won't support another subscription streaming service, this audience is still a significant part of Disney Channel's viewer base and we should not let them suffer from being forced to watch ads they're not comfortable with.

There are certain DCOMs that Disney+ has either altered or left out, yet have been presented unedited on Disney Channel On Demand/DisneyNOW whenever they're part of their monthly selection. This is the main reason why I still use that service and hope to see them revert to the limited advertisement system back to the way it was pre-2017.

Even though this isn't the sort of news you were expecting, I still thought it'd be worth sharing, especially to those who still use the Disney Channel On Demand service. Stay tuned for our upcoming campaign to get the Zenon trilogy released on DVD next month.
