No Donald Trump in the Walt Disney World Hall of Presidents

Dear Walt Disney Company,
Walt Disney World has always represented an idealized, best-case version of America and the world we inhabit. It's always been a safe, happy place that represents a welcoming environment -- people who are immigrants, who are disabled, who are LGBTQ, Muslim, atheist, of every color and ethnicity. Your company has long stood up for equal rights and hired employees from marginalized and underrepresented groups.
Last year you quietly removed a little-noticed bust of Bill Cosby from Hollywood Studios after so many accusations leveled against him made the public aware of his mistreatment of women. So now we ask that you pay similar attention to the Hall of Presidents and the election of Donald Trump. Mr Trump has openly demonized and mocked people of color, immigrants, Mexicans, Muslims, and the disabled; he has bragged of mistreating and assaulting women; his administration will seemingly consist of anti-LGBT people, anti-Semites, and white supremacists. He does not deserve to be immortalized in the Hall of Presidents and the implicit support of his administration would make Walt Disney World feel less safe for every person and community he has attacked and those who care about them.
We ask instead that the Hall of Presidents be closed and replaced with Great Moments with Mr Lincoln, as seen at Disneyland, or a new attraction demonstrating the diversity and beauty of the America Disney World has always claimed to represent.
Your fans, regular guests, and prospective guests who value social justice thank you for your consideration.
