Visiting DisneyQuest in Orlando was one of my most memorable childhood experiences during a family vacation. Disney fans were extremely saddened when it was closed in 2017 to make way for the NBA Experience. This meant no more "Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam" or "CyberSpace Mountain"! How could this happen?

The NBA Experience was briefly opened before closing due to COVID restrictions. This new "experience" wasn't nearly as popular as Disney Quest though and Disney executives apparently questioned this attraction. On August 16, 2021, Disney announced that the NBA Experience attraction would remain permanently closed!

So what was Disney Quest?

It opened on June 19, 1998 in Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs) at the Walt Disney World Resort. It was housed in a five-story, windowless building. Guests entered the first-floor lobby and were transported via a "magic" elevator (With Genie! No Not Genie+) to the third floor atrium as the start of their visit.

DisneyQuest contained numerous virtual reality attractions (Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean and many more) for all ages, as well as classic and recent arcade games. It closed on July 3, 2017 to make way for The NBA Experience.

Disney make a mistake in closing DisneyQuest and this decision backfired on them with a failed NBA Experience. Disney now has an opportunity to redeem themselves by giving the fans what they want. Please let your  Disney Imagineers create a new magical DisneyQuest experience.
