The USA Should Prioritize Its Own Problems Before Sending Aid to Other Countries

The Issue

Right now, the United States is spending billions of dollars helping other countries while many Americans struggle with homelessness, poverty, failing schools, and crumbling infrastructure. This spending abroad is not fair to those Americans who pay the taxes that fund that and need help the most. We are not saying to stop helping others completely - we are saying that the US should fix its own problems first and then help others from a place of strength. Please sign, it will only take 10 seconds and your time will be greatly appreciated!

What We're Asking For:

We urge US leaders to

  • Focus federal aid and funding towards solving urgent domestic issues such as homelessness, healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
  • Reduce amount of foreign aid until our major national issues are under control.
  • Publicly recognize that this shift in priorities comes from the people  especially the youth who care deeply about our country's future.

Why It Matters:

There are over half a million homeless Americans, thousands of public schools falling apart, and cities with water systems and roads that are decades behind. If we invest in our people first, we will become stronger and better able to help others in the long run.

This petition was created by a 13-year old student who believes that age does not limit the power of a voice. Please sign if you believe that America should take care of Americans first.
