The US Presidency Oath of Office--NOT AGAIN

The Issue

The President Oath of Office is a sacred promise, one that Donald Trump violated over and over again during his first term.  The 2024 election is over and Donald Trump took the election, he will be required to take the following oath.  The same oath he already violated.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Those are the words that Donald Trump repeated with his right hand raised then said, "...So help me God?" He lied.

As we all know, Donald Trump has been found guilty of 34 felonies.  He failed in upholding the presidential oath in 2017, having been accused of fostering divisiveness and insurrection. These actions set a dangerous precedent for our democratic processes and beliefs, showcasing an example of unethical behavior of the highest magnitude.

The United States, a nation built on the principles of justice, order, and ethics, must ensure that individuals who have shown such disregard for their oath of office and the safety of our fellow citizens are not allowed to reassume such crucial roles. We have an obligation to protect the fabric of our democracy against individuals who have demonstrated their willingness to pose serious challenges to it.

We urge our government leaders, the safeguards of our democracy, to ensure that Donald Trump is not given the chance to take an oath of Presidency again. Preserve our nation’s integrity, demonstrating that disregard for the public trust leads to tangible consequences.
