For decades Manning Bar served as a cultural landmark where students could go in between class to sink schooeys, or hit up for a late-night gig, with bands as big as The Foo Fighters having graced its stage. 

Tragically, and without student consultation, the USU has just announced that it will be shutting down the historic venue. 

The death of Manning Bar would be the final nail in the coffin of the decline of student life on campus. 

Manning Bar has been neglected for many years, with all of the USU's attention given to new darlings such as Courtyard. 

We demand that the USU properly invest in reviving and revitalising Manning so that it can be restored to its once lofty heights as a hub of student life.
