We, The University of Liverpool Students urge our University to compensate us £863.33 for the 14 days of strike action between Thursday 20th February and Friday 13th March. 

We pay £9250.00 per year for our University Studies, equating to roughly £61.67 per day (30 weeks of term, 150 days of teaching / contact time). This means we are paying £863.33 for 14 days of study which we won't receive.

Students in their final year of study are missing out on key lectures, supporting their dissertation and final year exams. I, a Second Year Student have already been informed that I will miss three lectures of a particular module and should not expect to receive  catch up lectures. This will cause a colossal impact to my grade as reading powerpoint slides is simply not adequate. 

Last year, tutors went on strike from Monday 25th November to Wednesday 4th December, causing massive disruption to thousands of students' coursework, exams and projects. 

Although some deadlines have been extended, this is simply not satisfactory as we require the one to one teaching that we pay for!

We stand by the tutors and their concerns over pay and conditions. We urge the University to resolve this ongoing issue.
