Just a few weeks ago, we launched this proposal, and already more than 1,000 people from different countries are asking the UN to use technology to spread the principles of coexistence and progress that “We the Peoples of the United Nations” agreed upon in 1945 and in the following years.
Many initiatives address local problems, but few aim to improve the general well-being of humanity. This proposal you’ve signed does:
- Current leaders are not solving the major global challenges. Alternatives are needed.
- To act together, we need common goals and principles, which were already established in the United Nations Charter, signed by 193 countries.
- In the past, it was impossible to spread them globally. Today, technology makes it possible to educate humanity by disseminating these principles worldwide.
- No one can change the world alone, but together we can urge the United Nations to take on this role.
- If the UN educates the world in these principles, it will generate millions of supporters and could become a true moral authority on the planet. Many of us will support it.
- This initiative could transform the United Nations into an institution that educates, guides, and inspires humanity, adapting the original purpose for which it was created to the 21st century.
Those in power will be confronted with universal principles that much of humanity will embrace as their own. It will be difficult to go against them.
I invite you to feel this proposal as your own, a concrete tool to promote a fairer and more compassionate world.
What can we do?
Share this proposal once a month with three or four people. If even one signs, you’ve planted something important.
Contribute €2 or €3 per month so that Change.org can promote it. With €3, about 100 emails can be sent, generating around 10 signatures.
If you have media contacts, suggest that they publish or discuss these ideas.
Check in from time to time to see how this initiative (one you can truly make your own) is growing.
Thank you for your support.
