The families of Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) are feeling voiceless and helpless. For SCUSD families, the needs of our children are our top priority. It’s time we organize and take action! With that goal in mind, we demand that the Superintendent, the School Board, and teachers’ union to reach an agreement on distance-learning by October 3rd – one month after the start of the school year – so that they can turn their attention to avoiding bankruptcy and state takeover.

The discord between the Superintendent, the School Board, and the teachers union is filtering down to our schools. Now our students, as well as our teachers and principals, are being impacted by the inability to reach an agreement. We deserve what all our surrounding districts have: a plan for our children to be educated. Without this leadership and collaboration, there's little hope for the District and teachers union reaching an agreement to safely bring our students back to campus later this year.
