Please sign and share please ...make some one take note ...This is my boy Ashton he's 9 HE DESERVES A EDUCATION he's severely autistic has severe learning difficulties and he's completely non verbal with PDA due to his disability he can present with some challenging behaviour at times .Ashton has been at the same special needs school since he was 4 he's 10 in September, he's now been told he has to leave as the setting is not right for him and he needs a specialised unit not a classroom based learning approach (which all other special schools are also) BUT there are NO such units within my region West Yorkshire the nearest is Rotherham 2 hours away with a unbelievable waiting list he's virtually no chance of getting in EVER... so I was advised the only such units are miles n miles away n on a live in basis Monday to Friday which I point blankly refuse to do it would rip our family apart we want Ashton with us daily not just weekends .we'd be heart broken as would he to be taken away from us home and all he knows with no communication unable to tell us a thing .so my only option is to home school him or send him away which will never ever happen ...it's so wrong iv also a 6 year old girl and a 3 month old baby at home but if there's no other option but to home school what can I do ,this isn't just happening to me hundreds of family's across the country are in the exact same situation our children didn't ask for a disability it wasn't a choice they deserve a education in a setting suited to there needs all special needs schools should have to provide this much needed service with such units part of them our children are been failed please please support me by signing
