David Makumbi, Human Rights Activists and leader at WRDIF (Women's Rehabilitation Development International Foundation) has been kidnapped and held by the members of the South Sudanese military for allegedly attempting to help Women's Rights Activist and my very dear friend, Karak Denyok. 

David and Karak have worked together to improve conditions for women in South Sudan and Uganda by providing services including skill building, money management and childcare. 

Reports have indicated that the military has threatened to hold David indefinitely unless he reveals the whereabouts of Karak and Karak's children. ALL they have ever done is advocate for equality for women! 

The safety of David, Karak, and their families is crucial. Demand that David be set free and that the government leave Human Rights Defenders at peace.
