Prendergast is statistically the best state school in Lewisham, and the governors want to turn into an academy. If this is allowed to happen, students, parents and local communities will lose all influence within the school. Teachers would be under a lot of pressure which could force some to leave, meaning that we could lose our excellent teachers and risk distrupting the learning enviroment that the school community has created.
