Dear Supporters,

Here is a message from a friend and an activitist in the community: 

In order to give people camping on our streets a safe place as an alternative, we need managed spaces to house the people living on our sidewalks. We feel strongly that the city needs to develop and implement a plan to safely do that.

A Place For ALL sponsored by Supervisor Mandelman, is an ordinance that requires the city to do just that. There is a Budget Committee hearing on April 21st that will be asked to approve this legislation and forward the plan to the full Board for approval.

Public comment will be allowed at this meeting. We expect the Homeless Coalition and others who oppose this plan to  make there voices heard. If you feel our sidewalks should not be used to house these people please call in and MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD.
